This policy explains what cookies and similar storage technologies Syro Robotics uses, why we use them, and how you can control your preferences.
1. What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. We also use localStorage — a browser storage mechanism that works similarly but persists across sessions and is never transmitted to our servers automatically. This policy covers both cookies and localStorage entries.
2. Strictly necessary (always active)
These are essential for the website to function. They cannot be disabled. No consent is required for these under the ePrivacy Directive because they are strictly necessary to provide the service you have requested.

3. Analytics & performance (requires consent)
With your consent, we use Google Analytics 4 (GA4) to understand how visitors interact with our website — for example, which pages are most visited and how long sessions last. This helps us improve our products and user experience.
IP addresses are anonymised before being sent to Google. Data is processed by Google LLC under Standard Contractual Clauses. You can learn more at policies.google.com/privacy.

4. Functional / preferences (requires consent)
With your consent, we use functional cookies that enable social sign-in via Google and Microsoft. These are set by those providers during OAuth authentication flows and allow you to remain signed in.

5. What we do not use
Syro Robotics does not use:
- Advertising or retargeting cookies of any kind
- Social media tracking pixels (e.g. Facebook Pixel)
- Cross-site tracking or browser fingerprinting
- Third-party data brokers
6. Legal basis
Under the Dutch Telecommunications Act (Tw), which implements the ePrivacy Directive, we require your prior consent before placing any non-essential cookies or accessing non-essential localStorage data. Strictly necessary storage is exempt from this requirement.
Under GDPR, consent for analytics and functional cookies is based on Art. 6(1)(a). You may withdraw this consent at any time — see Section 7 below.
7. Managing your preferences
You can manage your cookie preferences at any time in three ways:

- Browser settings — most browsers allow you to block or delete cookies. Note that blocking strictly necessary storage may break core site functionality such as login and cart.
- Google Analytics opt-out — install the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.
Withdrawing consent does not affect the lawfulness of any processing that took place before you withdrew consent.
8. Changes to this policy
We may update this Cookie Policy to reflect changes in the cookies we use or for other operational, legal, or regulatory reasons. The "last updated" date at the top of this page will be updated accordingly.
